Fashion, all kinds of Art, and awesome Photography.
…a species of hummingbird (Trochilidae) which occurs in humid Andean forests from western Venezuela, through Colombia and Ecuador, to Peru and Bolivia. Like most other hummingbirds collared incas feed mainly on the nectar of various plant species. However, they will also feed on insects and other arthropods as well. Collared incas are also sexually dimorphic with females having a more lighter green coloration than males.
My friend Andy sent me a surprise box of his tea!!! Every one is artfully blended out of high quality organic ingredients, I’ve tried them all and can’t recommend them highly enough. Also I can’t believe how much tea is in each of these vials… I just made a cup of Raven (ceylon, rose hip, vanilla, elderberry, chicory) and barely made a dent in it. Check out the tea blackquartzalchemy and his amazing art (full of skulls, crystals, woodgrain, flowers) skullgarden . Thanks Andy 😘❤️💀☕️ PS the skull wax seal killed me
My favourite looks from Rodarte Spring/Summer 2015 (see the rest of the collection here)
I don’t think I’m the only one who believes that over the last few seasons Rodarte has been less than stellar; what was once a budding fashion house full of whimsy and beautiful designs became almost redundant and the vision quite frankly confusing. But I can ever so happily say how impressed I am with this collection, back to its original state I can now again bow at the feet of the talented sisters for bringing back everything we love about the house. At first my eyes were awash with a very obvious nautical theme, models sporting heavily layered fisherman’s jackets with sturdy stripes, and a cool palette consisting mainly of shades of blue, seafoam, seaweed green and icy whites like crashing waves creating a visual ocean for spectators. As the collection furthered we went deeper under water as pieces became more intricate; models dressed like dishevelled mermaids in gowns made of a combination of iridescent fabrics as if they had just made their way out of the water, magically glazed with watery dew almost glimmering brighter than the jewels and sequins encrusted by the hundreds. Shaggy nets were dropped down and free flowing fabrics uniquely decorated with gadgets and gizmos a-plenty; fluffy feathers, glittery shredded tulle, pearls and beads to look like aquatic flowers and seashells, along with a plethora of embroidered pailettes creating a sense of shimmering scales. This collection was everything you could dream of and more; a dress up box for the most high fashion of Disney movies without looking costume-ish – what could have easily gone awry instead came out on top to create magic. Not only was this the best show of NYFW, it has been the greatest show of the season thus far and the most outstanding to come from Rodarte in years. Simply put I have never been as enamoured by a collection so enchanting as I have this, kudos to the Mulleavy sisters!
Today was fun. We found our own private blue lagoon up in the mountains 45 minutes southwest of Reykjavik, Iceland. The water was warmed by the many hot springs located in the area; temperatures were balanced out by the cool water flowing in. Perfect. We were the only people around for miles; our spirits could not be contained.
